TYPOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION OF ENGLISH MODAL VERBS

The main focus of this article is to compare the system of modal words in the English language with the analogous system in the Uzbek language. It also aims to integrate Uzbek modal words into a systematic framework, determine their classification within parts of speech, describe their morphological structure, analyze their lexical meanings, and reveal the expressive means used in sentences for various purposes.
