This article analyzes the legal aspects of the green public procurement institution and highlights its role in ensuring sustainable development. The purpose of the study is to study the legal framework of green procurement, its regulatory and legal regulation at the international and national levels, as well as their effectiveness using the experience of the European Union, Japan, South Korea and the Netherlands. It also highlights the directions of the formation of the green procurement institution in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its improvement based on international experience.
