This article analyzes the stages of language policy development in the Republic of Uzbekistan after independence, highlighting its legal foundations and practical outcomes. It explores the role of the state language in shaping national identity, preserving cultural heritage, and strengthening social cohesion. The study also examines the evolution of the Uzbek language’s status in public administration, education, and media between 1991 and 2025, as well as strategies for preserving the national language amid globalization.
