This article analyzes the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in local government systems of Central Asian countries. It examines the processes of digital transformation and AI integration within local administrative structures in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Special attention is given to the current state of AI implementation in Uzbekistan’s local authorities and the institutional barriers that limit its effectiveness. Based on comparative analysis, the study justifies the need to enhance the legal framework, data management systems, and human resource capacity for effective AI deployment at the local level. Practical recommendations are developed for Uzbekistan, drawing on the regional experience of Central Asia.
