TYPES OF METAPHORS AND RELATED PHENOMENA IN ADVERTISING TEXTS

This article analyzes the types of metaphors found in advertising texts, as well as related linguistic phenomena – metonymy, synecdoche, personification, and epithets – and their communicative and pragmatic functions. In advertising discourse, metaphor serves not only as a means of imagery but also as an effective tool for influence, memorable expression, and psychological impact on the consumer.
