Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of post-truth in contemporary political processes and the dissemination of disinformation through alternative information streams. It reveals the mechanisms by which digital media, social networks, and alternative platforms influence public consciousness. In addition, factors such as fake news, false narratives, algorithmic filtering, and propaganda are examined for their impact on political communication and citizens’ decision-making processes. The article scientifically assesses the interrelation between post-truth politics, national information security, democratic institutions, and the level of media literacy, emphasizing the need to develop effective countermeasures in this field.
