The article analyzes the transformation of the process of national identity in the context of an information society. In the context of the development of information technologies and the formation of a global information space, new features, forms and methods of expression of the process of national identity are shown. The issues of preserving and developing national identity in the context of virtual space and network society, new mechanisms for preserving and developing national values are revealed. The interaction of national cultures through digital technologies, the transformation of national identity and the protection of national interests in cyberspace are also analyzed.
