LEGAL BASIS OF THE FIGHT AGAINST RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM

In this article, the negative impact of religious extremism and terrorism on the life of society, the legal and spiritual foundations of the fight against them are analyzed from a scientific point of view. Extremism is interpreted as a process of promoting ideas that contradict the laws and regulations adopted in society, while terrorism is interpreted as a means of achieving political or ideological goals through intimidation and terror. The study analyzes the norms of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Combating Terrorism and Extremism, which highlights the tasks of state and public institutions in the prevention of terrorism and extremism. At the same time, it is substantiated that national and religious values are a decisive factor in the formation of spiritual immunity in the minds of the younger generation.
