This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the improvement of modern pedagogical technologies for teaching natural sciences based on a competency-based approach. It highlights the pedagogical essence of the competency-based approach and its importance in the integrated development of students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities. The article also discusses effective teaching methods, interactive lesson formats, the use of information and communication technologies, and the implementation of innovative approaches in practice. The significance of competency-based assessment systems and the individualization of the learning process in teaching natural sciences is emphasized. The results of this study can be useful for educators, education specialists, and academic researchers.
