REFORMS IN THE FIELD OF TOURISM DURING THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract

This scientific article comprehensively analyzes the institutional, legal, and organizational-reform processes implemented in the field of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan during the years of independence. Within the framework of the research, the formation of the national tourism system, the improvement of its strategic management mechanisms, and the processes of economic modernization of the tourism industry were studied based on scientific and theoretical approaches. At the same time, conceptual programs aimed at the development of tourism by the state as a priority area of the economy, reforms in the regulatory framework, liberalization of the tourism services market, and practical results of infrastructure modernization are scientifically analyzed. In the research process, trends in the development of pilgrimage, ecological, cultural, gastronomic, and ethno-tourism directions, as well as the effectiveness of mechanisms for using tourism potential in the context of regions, were determined.
