LEGAL REGULATION OF INVESTMENT ACTIVITY IN STARTUP PROJECTS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN: THE CASE OF ACCELERATORS AND INCUBATORS

The article explores the peculiarities of civil-law regulation of investment activities in startup projects, with a particular focus on the functioning of incubators and accelerators in the field of information technologies. The legal status of investors and startup teams, mechanisms of attracting investments, and the process of concluding financing agreements are examined, as well as the legal regime of intellectual property created within projects. The author highlights issues of legal uncertainty in venture financing, insufficient regulation of contractual models (SAFE agreements, option contracts, convertible loans), and the need to improve national legislation to ensure transparency and protection of the rights of investment participants. Based on comparative legal analysis of foreign models, possible directions for the development of the regulatory framework in Uzbekistan are proposed, including the creation of special legal regimes for startups and the stimulation of innovative investments.
