This article covers the history of the establishment of the first museum in Bukhara, the socio-political and cultural factors that led to its creation. The processes of collecting and preserving historical monuments, archaeological finds and cultural heritage samples through the activities of the first museum are analyzed. The role of the museum in the cultural life of Bukhara, its importance in the formation and development of the field of museology are also shown. The article focuses on the issues of preserving the national cultural heritage and presenting it to the general public based on the history of the first museum activities.
