MAHALLA AS THE HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF UZBEK SOCIETY, THE MAIN FOUNDATION OF PEACE AND PROSPERITY IN THE COUNTRY

The article analyzes the strategic importance of the mahalla institution in the development of society based on the address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the people. The mahalla is interpreted as an important social institution that forms social capital, strengthens national unity, and ensures state stability. The initiative to declare 2026 the “Year of Mahalla Development and Enhancement of Society” is assessed as a new stage aimed at further strengthening the mahalla system, reducing poverty, developing human capital, and educating young people based on national and universal values. Also, the project “My Mahalla – My Pride” is considered as an effective model for increasing civic activity and educating students in the spirit of patriotism. In conclusion, the mahalla is an important foundation of sustainable development, social cohesion, and modernization of society.
