This article analyzes the components of linguacultural competence in the English translations of Abdulla Qodiri’s novel “O‘tkan kunlar” (“Bygone Days”). The study examines the representation of concepts, cultural codes, realia, and national mentality through a comparative approach. Translation strategies applied by translators are identified, and the preservation of cultural meaning is evaluated. The findings highlight the crucial role of linguacultural competence in literary translation.
