LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY AS A CULTURAL CONCEPT: RECONSTRUCTION OF ALISHER NAVOI'S IDEAS AND THEIR RELEVANCE TO MODERN LINGUOCULTUROLOGY

The article attempts a linguocultural reconstruction of the concept of "linguistic personality" in the creative heritage of the classic of Turkic-language literature, Alisher Navoi (1441–1501). Alongside his philological treatise "Muhakamat al-Lughatayn" and biographical compilations, his epic works ("Khamsa" – "The Quintuple", particularly "Farhad and Shirin", "Layli and Majnun"), Sufi-philosophical poem ("Lisan ut-Tayr" – "The Language of the Birds"), and lyrical divan ("Hazain ul-Ma'ani") are analyzed. It is argued that Navoi created a unique anthropological model of a personality whose essence is manifested and shaped through the word. The components of this model are explored: language as an existential choice and tool of self-knowledge; the dialogical nature of speech in the context of Sufi communication; the ethics and aesthetics of the word as the basis of social existence; language in its idiostylistic and genre modes. It is proven that Navoi's ideas, transcending the boundaries of his era, are relevant for modern discussions on language ecology, educational strategies, cognitive linguistics, and digital communication.
