This article analyzes socio-philosophical and methodological issues of researching museum activities based on a comprehensive approach. The study reveals the role of the museum institution in the socio-cultural system of society, its functional significance in the formation of historical memory, strengthening national identity and transmitting spiritual values. The museum phenomenon as a socio-philosophical category is covered in its interrelation with cultural heritage, communicative space, social memory and axiological system. The methodological foundations of museology are also scientifically substantiated from the point of view of systemic, civilizational, axiological, phenomenological and institutional approaches. The article also analyzes the transformation of museums in the context of globalization, digitization processes and the introduction of interactive communication tools. The results of the study serve to provide a deeper socio-philosophical understanding of the activities of museums and to clarify their strategic role in modern society.
