This article analyzes the existing environmental problems in Uzbekistan and their socio-economic consequences. The impact of such problems as environmental pollution, water scarcity, desertification, land degradation and air pollution on public health, economic growth, labor productivity and social stability is studied. The institutional and economic measures that need to be taken to eliminate environmental problems and ensure sustainable development are also analyzed.
