In this scientific article, the main methods of external expression of the essence of modern diplomacy and the forms of diplomatic activity as mutual cooperation of states in the process of international communication were briefly studied. At the same time, on the basis of the theoretical review and discussion of current problems, the need to provide reforms in diplomatic activity and its legal regulation in Uzbekistan is substantiated.
