This article explores the origins of ancient theaters, their stages of development, and their role in human civilization. It analyzes the distinctive features of ancient Greek, Roman, Indian, Chinese, and Japanese theaters, highlighting their influence on modern theatrical art. Initially emerging from religious rituals and mythological narratives, ancient theater later evolved into an artistic platform expressing human emotions, social life, and philosophical ideas. The article also compares the stage architecture, acting techniques, and dramaturgical foundations of ancient theaters with those of modern theater schools. As a result, it is scientifically substantiated that the traditions of ancient theater laid the aesthetic, symbolic, and philosophical foundations of contemporary theatrical art.
