LINGUISTOCULTURAL AND PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS OF RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CHARACTERS IN FICTION (ON THE EXAMPLE OF UZBEK AND ENGLISH LITERATURE)

This article analyzes the linguistic and pragmatic aspects of interpersonal relationships in works of art. The study studies the speech behavior of characters in Uzbek and English literature, national values, cultural stereotypes and communicative features reflected in the process of communication. A linguistic and cultural analysis of the characters' speech was carried out based on examples taken from Oybek's "Blood of the Blood", R.L. Stevenson's "Kidnapped", M. Twain's "The Prince and the Pauper" and Cholpon's "Night and Day". The results of the study reveal such values as hospitality, respect, kinship, and sincerity as are characteristic of the Uzbek people; and the cultural characteristics of the English people such as individuality, distance, and preference for formality. Also, the artistic interpretation of national thinking and human psychology is highlighted through phraseologisms, forms of address, conditional sentences, and metaphorical images. The article serves to identify interethnic differences and reveal their manifestation in artistic language tools based on linguistic and linguistic analysis.
