Аннотация

Uzbekistan’s accession to key international agreements on environmental protection, such as Espoo Convention and the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Poluution (CLRTAP) is crucial for the country to integrate climate considerations into its environemtnal impact assessment procedures and strengthen its national mechanism for adaptation procesures and strengthen its national mechanism for adaptation to climate change. The key findings of the study include the importance of effective legal frameworks and policies in mitigating environmental threats and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources in Uzbekistan. The study finds that Uzbekistan has made progress in implementing the Paris Agreement, but there are still significant gaps in its implemantation, particularly in the development of a National Adaptation Plan.
