The article is devoted to the problem of linguistic and cultural features of translating stories from English into Uzbek. The linguistic and cultural aspect of a work of art, which affects the traditions, customs of different peoples, and the characteristics of national culture expressed through language, is an integral part of the translation process. When translating a literary text, the translator uses various methods of translation, transformation and conversion.
