In the realm of technological advancement, few innovations generate as much attention and speculation as blockchain technology and smart contracts. These complementary principles are pioneers at the forefront of the growing digital age, poised to redefine traditional industries, challenge established norms, and usher in an era marked by unprecedented efficiency and transparency. Starting an in-depth study of their complexity and development prospects, this article will consider general legal issues of regulation of smart contracts and blockchain technologies, and will conduct a comparative analysis of government regulation of this issue in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in a number of foreign countries.
