This article is devoted to the analysis of current problems that arise in the process of teaching social sciences to technical students. Social studies play an important role in the education system because they shape the worldview of students and prepare them as active citizens in society. However, the motivation of technical students to social sciences, their importance in the educational process and difficulties related to pedagogical methods are analyzed as problems. The article also provides recommendations on the use of advanced pedagogical approaches and methods in teaching social studies.
