DIRECTIONS FOR ENSURING THE CONSISTENCY OF MATHEMATICS TRAINING IN PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY EDUCATION

An analysis of the directions for ensuring the coherence and continuity of mathematics teaching in
preschool and primary education explores important ways to effectively integrate early mathematical concepts
into the educational system. The article highlights the importance of a holistic curriculum that links preschool and
primary education, emphasizing the need for coherence in pedagogical approaches, learning outcomes, and
assessment methods. Through an analysis of existing curricula and teaching practices, this study advances key
areas to ensure a smooth transition of children from preschool to primary school. It evaluates the role of teacher
preparation in providing teachers with the skills needed to provide coherent mathematics education that is
developmentally appropriate and meets children’s diverse learning needs. In addition, the study supports
collaborative efforts among educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to create an enabling environment that
promotes sustainable mathematics engagement.
