In the mid-1930s, the Khorezm expedition led by S.P. Tolstov conducted large-scale archaeological research in the Lower Amu Darya, Uzboy and Sarykamyshbuy for half a century. As a result, they compiled a list of settlements reflecting the fruits of the harmony of life and creativity of our ancestors in the historical period from the Stone Age to the 15th century, put them on an archaeological map, carried out partial excavations in some of them, bringing the results of their research to the attention of the scientific community. During the Neogene stage of geological development, the Amu Darya, which absorbed the waters of the valleys flowing down from the sky-high mountains of southeastern Central Asia, divided the plain into right and left bank parts, directing its main flow north through the Karakum Desert. Thus, the geographical landscape of Khorezm, rich in legends 8-7 thousand years ago, is preserved to this day. The purpose of this article is to shed light on the history of people living in settlements in two regions, making tools from stone and bone, as well as their technological innovations in historical eras.
In the article is analyzed the historical roots of the military knowledge of the population of the Lower Amu Darya.
