ORGANIZATION OF REST PERIODS AND PAUSES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

Physical education classes play a crucial role in shaping students' healthy lifestyle, enhancing their physical abilities, and improving work capacity. However, to ensure the effectiveness of lessons, properly organized rest periods and pauses are of particular importance. This article examines the rational distribution of rest time during physical education classes, its pedagogical justification, and alignment with students' age characteristics.
During lessons, short pauses are implemented to prevent students' physical and mental fatigue. These breaks may include breathing exercises, stretching, light walking, or other simple movements. Rest periods are planned based on the principle of alternating different types of activities, which helps students concentrate their attention and prepare for new exercises.
The article also highlights methodologies for proper distribution of rest time according to age groups. For instance, elementary school students require more frequent breaks as they tire faster. For older students, pauses can be shorter but more intensive.
