ANALYSIS OF VIEWS ON THE MATERIAL CULTURE OF THE UZBEKS OF THE FERGANA VALLEY

The article explores the ethnological aspects of the material culture of the Uzbeks of the Fergana Valley. The study analyzes the main components of material culture – dwellings, clothing, jewelry, and food – not only in a descriptive manner but also in relation to their close connection with social life and cultural values. Symbols, signs, religious-philosophical views, and beliefs embodied in material culture serve as essential sources for understanding the social way of life of the ethnos. Particular attention is given to national housing architecture, the ecological, social, and economic factors influencing its development, as well as the traditional customs and beliefs of the Uzbeks. Drawing on the theoretical perspectives of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, B. Malinowski, and M. Mauss, the research substantiates the interpretation of material culture as an integral part of social life.
