This article analyzes the structural and cognitive aspects of Uzbek idioms, classifying them by meaning, and their role in expressing cultural identity, as well as examining their semantic features. It also highlights the need for additional research in the field of idiom translation and cross-linguistic comparison, particularly with French and other Turkic languages. French and Uzbek idioms are compared semantically using examples.
