This article examines the relevance, essence, and both theoretical and practical aspects of developing critical thinking among future teachers. The role of innovative educational technologies, problem-based learning, project-based learning, and the STEAM approach in fostering critical thinking is highlighted. Furthermore, the article analyzes evaluation criteria and performance indicators for assessing the level of critical thinking in teacher education students. The importance of shaping the identity of a modern teacher through innovative pedagogical approaches is substantiated.
