LINGUOPRAGMATIC ANALYSIS OF DEICTIC UNITS BASED ON TRANSLATION SAMPLES OF RELIGIOUS TEXTS FROM GERMAN LANGUAGE INTO UZBEK LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article analyzes the linguo-pragmatic features of deictic expressions based on the translations of German religious texts into Uzbek. Typological differences between the German and Uzbek languages, as well as the semantic and cultural connotations of religious texts, often create certain challenges in the translation process. Therefore, the study focuses on the translator’s pragmatic competence, the correct understanding of intercultural context, and the equivalent rendering of deictic units through semantic correspondence. Within a linguo-pragmatic framework, the paper explores the functional and semantic role of deixis and examines how contextual factors influence the translation process. The findings of the research have practical significance for translation studies, religious discourse analysis, and linguo-pragmatics, contributing to the development of intercultural competence in foreign language education.
