The article reveals the fundamentals of creating an information business environment through the use of information systems, products, and services. It is noted that information products are interpreted differently by various specialists; therefore, it is advisable to generalize the interpretations concerning information services. The study examines the idea that information services are processes related to meeting users’ information needs, providing access to and utilization of information products, as well as ensuring the search and delivery of information regardless of the user’s location.
