DIGITAL LITERACY AS A PEDAGOGICAL CATEGORY IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM OF NON-CORE SPECIALTIES

The article considers digital literacy as an independent pedagogical category in the higher education system of non-core specialties. The article substantiates the need to move from a narrowly instrumental understanding of digital literacy to its complex interpretation, including cognitive, operational, critical-analytical, value-ethical and reflexive components. It is shown that digital literacy is formed in the process of integrating digital practices into the content of specialized disciplines and is an important condition for students' academic independence, academic success and professional adaptation. Special attention is paid to the pedagogical conditions and mechanisms for the formation of digital literacy among students of non-core fields of study in the context of the digital transformation of higher education.
