Abstract

This article examines the shift of drug and psychotropic substance trade from traditional street markets to digital environments, including darknet markets and encrypted messenger-based shops. It highlights how pricing in online drug markets is shaped by platform-related risk, logistics, cryptocurrency exchange rates, and anonymity tools. The paper also addresses legal qualification and evidentiary challenges, focusing on cross-border jurisdiction, digital traces, blockchain analysis, and chemical forensic examination. The study proposes practical and conceptual insights to strengthen detection and proof strategies in criminal proceedings.
