This article analyzes the linguistic, linguopragmatic, and linguopoetic features of word order in live colloquial speech. Although word order in Uzbek is traditionally described as relatively free, the study demonstrates its functional significance in communicative processes. Based on dialogic speech data, the positions of the subject, predicate, object, and adverbial modifiers are examined, along with inversion, ellipsis, and parenthetical constructions. Particular attention is given to the role of word order in shaping theme–rheme relations, logical stress, and expressive-emotional effects. The findings reveal that in live speech, word order functions not only as a grammatical phenomenon but also as a pragmatic and linguopoetic device.
