THE ATTENTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO ENSURING GENDER EQUALITY

This article analyzes the issue of ensuring gender equality as a priority of the international community, focusing on the formation of legal frameworks and improvement of practical mechanisms in this field. Based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Declaration on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, and other international legal acts, the article discusses the legal status of women and their role in political, social, and economic life. The concepts of gender discrimination and chauvinism are examined from a scientific perspective, and their negative impacts on social development are analyzed through examples. The article also highlights the challenges of implementing gender equality policies in the 21st century, women’s unemployment rates, and the consequences of social stereotypes supported by statistical data.
