THE IMPORTANCE OF UNESCO CONVENTIONS IN THE PROTECTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE

The article covers the development and practical application of conventions aimed at protecting cultural heritage by UNESCO, its activities aimed at strengthening peace and security through the development of international cooperation between states. The role of UNESCO in the development of normative and legal documents, mechanisms for the adoption of international conventions, forms of interaction with national commissions, and UNESCOʻs integrated policy on the protection, promotion and sustainable development of tangible cultural heritage in the case of the Central Asian region and Uzbekistan are analyzed.
