ISSUES OF USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CAPABILITIES IN THE INSTITUTION OF MEDIATION

Abstract

This article provides a scientific and practical analysis of the possibilities of using artificial intelligence
technologies to improve the institution of mediation. The author highlights the essence and content of mediation,
its history, legal nature, foreign experience, and the regulatory and legal framework for its application in the
Republic of Uzbekistan. The article also analyzes the main problems encountered in the practice of mediation in
our country, including the low level of public awareness, the shortage of qualified mediators, the weak financial
sustainability of non-governmental mediation centers, insufficient coordination between courts and mediators,
and barriers related to the psychological acceptance of mediation. The paper substantiates the use of modern
solutions to address these problems, such as artificial intelligence-based interactive platforms, chatbots, online
learning systems, virtual simulations, automated analysis and forecasting tools, and information exchange
platforms. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the field
of mediation can contribute to increasing the effectiveness of pre-trial dispute resolution, reducing the workload
of courts, improving the quality of mediators’ activities, and fostering a culture of reconciliation in society.
