Maqolada ommaviy ishtirok darajalarining tasniflari amaliy va rahbariy qoʻllanmalarda, ilmiy ishlar va boshqa manbalarda oʻrganildi. Ommaviy ishtirok darajalarining turlicha tasniflanishi va nomlanishi chalkashliklarga olib kelishi hamda siyosiy huquqlarning toʻliq taʼminlanmasligiga olib kelishi aniqlandi. Tadqiqot jarayonida ushbu manbalardagi farqlarga oydinlik kiritildi va ommaviy ishtirok darajalariga yangi tasnif berildi.
