Ushbu tadqiqot eksportni rivojlantirish orqali mintaqaviy iqtisodiy raqobatbardoshlikni oshirishning nazariy asoslari va amaliy oqibatlarini oʻrganadi. Raqobatbardoshlik, koʻp qirrali tushuncha, alohida firmalardan tortib butun davlatlargacha boʻlgan turli darajadagi iqtisodiy faoliyatga taʼsir qiladi. Tadqiqot raqobatbardoshlikning tarixiy evolyutsiyasini oʻrganadi, uning ildizlarini klassik iqtisodiy nazariyalar va unumdorlik, innovatsiyalar va bozor dinamikasini oʻz ichiga olgan zamonaviy koʻp oʻlchovli asoslarga oʻtishini taʼkidlaydi. Adabiyot va metodologiyalarni har tomonlama koʻrib chiqish orqali tadqiqot raqobatbardoshlikni qoʻzgʻatuvchi asosiy omillarni, jumladan, infratuzilma, davlat siyosati, taʼlim va texnologik taraqqiyotni aniqlaydi. Maykl Porterning hissasiga, xususan, raqobatdosh ustunlikni qoʻllab-quvvatlashda omil sharoitlari, talab sharoitlari, tegishli tarmoqlar va firma strategiyasi oʻrtasidagi oʻzaro bogʻliqlikni taʼkidlaydigan “Olmos modeli”ga alohida eʼtibor qaratilgan.
Ushbu tadqiqot mintaqaviy iqtisodiy raqobatbardoshlikni oshirishda eksportni rivojlantirishning muhim rolini ham taʼkidlaydi. Uning taʼkidlashicha, xalqaro miqyosda raqobatbardosh mahsulotlarni ishlab chiqishga eʼtibor qaratish uzoq muddatli barqarorlik uchun zarur boʻlgan iqtisodiy faollikni va ish oʻrinlarini yaratishni sezilarli darajada oshirishi mumkin. Eksport faoliyati bozor kengayishini kuchaytiradi, ichki bozorga qaramlik bilan bogʻliq risklarni yumshatadi va aholi bandligi imkoniyatlarini yaratish va turmush darajasini oshirish orqali ijtimoiy-iqtisodiy rivojlanishga yordam beradi.
