This article examines the representation of the category of time in Spanish and Uzbek phraseology from the perspectives of cognitive linguistics and cultural linguistics. The aim of the study is to identify universal and culture-specific features of temporal conceptualization in idiomatic expressions and proverbs of the two languages. The theoretical framework is based on conceptual metaphor theory and contemporary research in comparative phraseology. The analysis demonstrates that in both languages time is conceptualized through spatial, processual, and quantitative metaphors; however, their pragmatic orientation and cultural interpretation differ. Spanish phraseology predominantly reflects a linear-progressive model of time and its economic valuation, whereas Uzbek paremiology reveals a cyclical, morally evaluative, and collectively oriented understanding of temporality.
