This article examines the synchronic analysis of lexical units related to international law in English and Uzbek, as well as the morphological, semantic, and functional features of international law terms in both languages. It analyses their synonymous and antonymous relationships. Additionally, the article identifies issues arising during the translation of international law terms and explores how these terms are shaped under the influence of national and cultural factors. The findings emphasize the importance of the principles of equivalence and adequacy in accurately interpreting legal texts, which contributes to enhancing the translation process and promoting an effective understanding of international law.
