TOURISM, GLOBALIZATION AND TRADE: THEIR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

This study examines market failures and resource valuation issues in the context of tourism. The article analyzes the problems existing in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan, including externalities, inefficient management of public goods, and issues of internal and intergenerational equity. Proposals are developed on the issues of determining the market value of natural and cultural resources, reducing the impact of tourism activities on the environment and society. This study recommends practical measures aimed at the sustainable development of tourism and presents new approaches for the economic analysis of market failures in the tourism sector.
